Without coconut chutney south Indian disc like dosa, Idli, Pongal and other is never complete. It has a great role in south Indian food. How to Make Simple and Tasty Coconut Chutney at Home

Ingredients for Tasty South Indian Coconut Chutney
2 Coconut (well Grated)
2-3 tsp Split Bengal gram (roasted chana dal)
8-10 cashew nuts
2 tsp oil
½ tsp Cumin seed (jeera)
½ tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tsp Split black gram (udad dal)
8-10 Curry leaf
1 tsp mustard seed
1 red chilies
2 green chili (finned chopped)
¼ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp Tamarind pulp
Pill the brown scale from the coconut and grate it perfectly, keep aside
Take a blender jar and combined the ingredients like roasted Split Bengal gram (roasted chana dal), 2 Coconut (well Grated) ,cashew nuts, Cumin seed (jeera),chopped ginger (adrak), green chili (finned chopped) and salt.
Finally add grated coconut into the jar and blend it till it turns into a thick paste. You may add a little amount of water into it.
Check the paste whether it’s perfect or not. Transfer the mixture in a bowl and keep aside. Now time to make tadka (Tempering).
Take a pan and heat it low flame. Add oil , mustard seeds, chopped ginger and curry leaf and sauté it till fried properly. Remove the tadka from the flame and power on the coconut paste.
Garnish with curry leaf and cashew nut and serve with idli, dosa, rice, pongal and etc.
